Chair Yoga

I now teach Chair yoga in residential care homes and Steps Neurological & complex trauma rehabilitation Centre, where I work as a well being practitioner. I started the first Chair yoga class in Sheffield in 2009 and have been teaching and learning adaptable yoga ever since.

Chair yoga classes are designed to make yoga more accessible to people who would otherwise be unable to participate in physical yoga or other yoga practices. Using adaptations of traditional asanas, participants can enjoy the benefits of mental and physical activity, and relaxation practices.

I currently teach a Class in Richmond Park Community Centre for SYHA on Wednesday afternoons 2-3pm

Testimonials

''As a wheelchair user I found the class enjoyable and beneficial ''

''Having attended yoga classes when I was more physically able I was unsure how the chair yoga would work. I found I benefitted physically and mentally better than I thought''
